Auffällig ist die Dominanz der Technologiebranche an der Spitze: Ein erheblicher Teil der amerikanischen Börsenkapitalisierung entfällt auf wenige Mega-Konzerne. Das treibt Indizes in guten Phasen — und macht sie verwundbar, wenn die Schwergewichte schwächeln.
Für deutsche Anleger kommt beim Direktinvestment das Währungsrisiko hinzu: Gewinne in Dollar können durch einen schwächeren Dollar in Euro geschmälert werden — und umgekehrt.
